GuideWell buys Onlife Health, expands line of engagement services

GuideWell Connect, a vendor offering consumer engagement services, has acquired a technology-enabled health and wellness company to round out its offerings to health plans and employers.

The Jacksonville, Fla.-based company has purchased Nashville, Tenn.-based Onlife Health from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee and Cambia Health Solutions. Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.

GuideWell Connect is the consumer engagement business of GuideWell Mutual Holding, and it provides full-service, integrated consumer engagement solutions in the healthcare industry. With the addition of Onlife, it now serves health insurance plans and employer clients with covered lives in 19 states.

Onlife delivers digital member engagement and reward programs using technology and coaching solutions powered by analytics and behavioral science. The company offers wellness, chronic condition management, and tailored engagement to address gaps in care. Its solutions are delivered through Onlife’s portal and mobile applications, as well as through telephone and onsite resources. OnLife’s product suite extends across multiple health insurance lines of business, including group, individual and Medicare Advantage.
