Groups Give Transcription Best Practices

The Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity, American Health Information Management Association and Medical Transcription Industry Association have created a best practices document as a resource for establishing a comprehensive transcription quality assurance program for health care organizations.


The Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity, American Health Information Management Association and Medical Transcription Industry Association have created a best practices document as a resource for establishing a comprehensive transcription quality assurance program for health care organizations.

The practices are designed to improve both dictation and transcription. Such improvements are important to making sure transcription information is properly used and repurposed in the electronic health record, which also will aid achieving meaningful use, according to the associations.
