The new federal enrollment workgroup, which comprises members of the HIT Policy and Standards Committees to tackle specific issues related to health care reform, is seeking public comment.
The workgroup specifically wants help in figuring out how to establish one-stop shopping to determine eligibility for and enrollment in health insurance and human services programs.
The workgroup's core task is to recommend a set of standards for electronic matching across state and federal datasets; submission and retrieval of electronic documentation for verification; re-use of eligibility information; enabling individuals to maintain eligibility information online; and notification of eligibility.
