Epic, Premier , Optimum score well in KLAS rankings

Vendor research firm KLAS Enterprises has released its annual Best in KLAS listing of health information technology vendors.

KLAS ratings, measuring vendor satisfaction rates, are based on thousands of interviews with hospitals and physician practices during the past year.


“The Best in KLAS report celebrates and recognizes vendors who have made significant strides to improve healthcare while addressing changes like payment reform and the shift to population health,” KLAS President Adam Gale said.

Epic remains the leader among vendors, getting the top overall software suite ranking for the seventh straight year. It also was the top overall physician practice vendor and won eight Best in KLAS awards.

Other big winners include Optimum Healthcare IT (best IT services firm and winner of one KLAS award), and Premier (best management consulting firm and four Best in KLAS awards). Cerner, CareTech Solutions, MedSys Group and Merge Healthcare each got two Best in KLAS awards.

Verity Solutions, with technology that supports the Verity 340B drug discount savings program for low-income patients, was named the most improved software company in the past year. Others with significant improvement included Peak Health Solutions’ outsourced coding services and NextGen Healthcare’s electronic health record for 75 or more physicians.

KLAS this year introduced a new Payer Solutions segment. Best in KLAS awards went to Casenet TruCare for care management solutions and Verscend Quality Reporting for payer quality analytics and reporting.
