Emory Healthcare adopts Kyruus to enhance its call center

In other implementations, Hunt Regional Healthcare connects to Texas information exchange.

Here is Health Data Management’s weekly roundup of new health IT contracts and go-lives.
  • Emory Healthcare, a seven-hospital delivery system serving the Atlanta region, will implement the ProviderMatch software of Kyruus into its call center and consumer website to deliver consistent patient services across the enterprise. ProviderMatch aids in improving call center efficiency by consolidating multiple separate scheduling workflows into a single solution with search capabilities to make it easier to match the right providers for patient needs while also enabling patients to schedule appointments online.
  • Hunt Regional Healthcare in Texas, anchored by Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville, has gone live on the HASA health information exchange that holds more than 4 million individual patient records and 14 million patient encounters. Patient records on the HIE are encrypted at rest and in transit. The HIE covers North, South and West Texas regions. West Texas Medical Associates, a multi-specialty group practice of 40 providers, also has joined the health information exchange.

  • Curae Health in Knoxville, Tenn., a not-for-profit rural hospital chain serving parts of Mississippi and Alabama, already has three of its five hospitals using the clinical, financial and patient engagement software of MEDHOST. Now, the organization is implementing the software at two other hospitals—Panola Medical Center in Batesville and Gilmore Memorial Hospital in Amory, both in Mississippi. Curae Health expects to be live on all MEDHOST enterprise applications during the first half of 2018.

  • Ampath Laboratories in South Africa has been a Meditech client for 35 years as it operates through a network of more than 300 facilities. Now, the organization has joined other Meditech users in upgrading to the vendor’s next-generation 6.1.6 laboratory and financial information systems. Across the Meditech ecosystem, hundreds of providers have migrated to the new 6.1x web-based electronic medical record or plan to do so.
  • Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare with six hospitals in the Memphis region will go enterprisewide with a patient communication and clinical workflow platform from PatientSafe Solutions. The delivery system will integrate its quality measurement tools into the platform with the goal of achieving top performance scores across all quality measures by 2020. The platform will connect acute care clinicians and community physicians on a single solution while also eliminating non-HIPAA secure texting. Physicians in hospitals and practices will receive critical alerts about their patients.
