Revenue cycle management and claims clearinghouse vendor Emdeon Inc. has introduced ICD-10 claims testing services.
Under the program, providers and vendor partners can submit test claims to Emdeon and receive clearinghouse test results, and the claims then can be submitted to payers via a self-service portal to determine the completeness of the transaction. “The self-service nature of the testing exchange allows payers to drive their own timetable for requesting and receiving natively coded test claims from providers,” according to an explanation. “There is no additional software required and testing services are being offered to Emdeon provider, channel partner and payer customers at no charge.”
Providers can submit an unlimited number of test claims and payers will receive an aggregation of accepted test claims to use in their testing processes. Emdeon also has additional ICD-10 tools available to clients through its regulatory mandates resource center, at HIPAASimplified.com.
