EHNAC Seeks Comment on its 2012 Accreditation Criteria

The Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission, which certifies entities that process transactions or exchange health information for meeting best practices, has issued criteria for its programs in 2012 and seeks public comment.

The programs cover health information exchanges, electronic prescribing, financial services, claims clearinghouses, value added networks, medical billers, payer-owned electronic health networks, third-party administrators, management service organizations and outsourced services such as remote hosting.

Industry sponsored EHNAC will accept comment on the criteria, available at ehnac.org, through Nov. 26.
