Dell Targets State Needs

Dell Inc., which includes the former Perot Systems consultancy and information technology services firm, has formed a new division to aid states in meeting regulatory requirements of the health care reform law.

Melissa Boudreault will lead the Dell State Health Services practice as a vice president of Round Rock, Texas-based Dell. She previously served as director of the Massachusetts Commonwealth Care Health Plan, which provides subsidized coverage to the uninsured.

The new Dell division will offer states and other entities technology and consulting services to support health insurance exchanges, and manage increased Medicaid enrollment and other mandates of the law.
