The 1,600 physician members of the society can license the software and offer free PHRs to their patients, along with the ability to import into the PHR lab results from Laboratory Corp. of America. Physicians with electronic health record systems that interface with RelayHealth also can populate the PHR with pertinent electronic data.

The basic PHR also is available for free to all patients in Delaware regardless of whether their physicians license and offer the PHR and related information exchange services. Even if a physician does not interface an EHR with RelayHealth, the physician can export a Continuity of Care Document from the EHR, which a patient can manually upload into a PHR. More information is available at relayhealth.com.
