The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is reminding hospitals that July 3 is the final date to begin a 90-day EHR meaningful use reporting period during 2012.
But CMS won’t be giving much help in the days before the 3rd. Systems maintenance from June 29 until 7:00 a.m. EST on July 2 will shut down the meaningful use registration and attestation system, and the EHR Information Center to call for assistance.
The meaningful use Interactive Voice Response system, providing registration, attestation and payment status among other self-service options, will be operational.
