The perfect storm of complying with meaningful use, ICD-10 and HIPAA 5010 regulations at the same time is the backdrop for the American Health Information Management Association's 2010 ICD-10 Summit, April 12-13 in Washington.
Speakers at the show will discuss why compliance with the three federal regulations are linked and should not be separately planned. They'll also get into payer perspectives on transitioning to ICD-10, preparing to educate the workforce on ICD-10, training coders, and using ICD-10 to improve clinical documentation, treatment and revenue.
The event also features the Computer-Assisted Coding Summit on April 14. More information is available at ahima.org/events/icd10summit/index.html.
