CMS Teleconference to Explain EHR Meaningful Use

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services encourages provider organizations starting to look into the electronic health records meaningful use incentive programs to participate in a national teleconference on August 18.

As of July 31, more than $397 million in Medicare and Medicaid incentive payments have been made, according to CMS. Federal officials during the teleconference will define meaningful use, explain Stage 1 criteria and the attestation process, walk through meaningful use objectives specification sheets, and answer questions.
