CCHIT to Expand Hospital Certification Options

The Certification Commission for Health Information Technology on Dec. 15 will launch a new electronic health records meaningful use certification program for installed hospital EHR technology.


The Certification Commission for Health Information Technology on Dec. 15 will launch a new electronic health records meaningful use certification program for installed hospital EHR technology.

This includes uncertified legacy systems, customized commercial products and self-developed systems. Chicago-based CCHIT will explain the new certification program during a Web seminar on Dec. 1. Details are at cchit.org/towncalls.
