Physician software vendor Aprima Medical Software, formerly iMedica, has acquired revenue cycle management firm Health Care Strategies for an undisclosed price.
Both companies are headquartered in the Dallas area and have been partners since August 2006. Aprima sells a practice management and electronic health records system on a single database, offers Health Care Strategies' services.
Health Care Strategies has resold Aprima's software under the partnership. The company provides billing and collections services, as well as credentials, medical chart audits, managed care contract reviews, and software installation, training and support.
Combining the companies will leverage the technical expertise both have and provide an enhanced business solution, says Aprima CEO Michael Nissenbaum. More information is available at aprima.com and hcs-direct.com.
