A new dashboard application from Yakima, Wash.-based VitalWare is designed to help health care organizations track the progress of their information systems vendors in meeting timelines and requirements for the ICD-10 code sets, which have an Oct. 1, 2013 compliance date.

The VitalView dashboard collects, tracks and displays by vendor and product information which systems have a measurable impact on a hospital's ICD-10 compliance, the status of vendor readiness--such as "high impact but low readiness"--and generates alerts when vendor products miss or complete milestones, or otherwise are at risk.

The dashboard is for organizations that have taken an inventory of ICD-10 affected systems. VitalWare also is offering an outsourced service to bring on-site personnel to work with providers to compile an initial inventory and assist in planning, project creation and internal readiness activities.
