App Gives Mobility to Consumer Accounts

PayFlex Systems USA Inc., an administrator of employee benefit programs, this summer will introduce a mobile application platform enabling consumers to access their health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts or health reimbursement arrangements using a mobile computing device.
The PayFlex Mobile platform will be compatible with more than 300 mobile devices, according to the Omaha, Neb.-based vendor. It will enable consumer access to account balances, deductible and co-pay information, and claims history. The platform will enable a consumer to take a picture of a health care receipt on a mobile phone and wirelessly submit the claim for processing.
Several employer clients will pilot the application before it's generally available in early summer, according to the company.
