AHRQ Solicits Information from Public on HIE Studies

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality is seeking scientific information submissions from the public on health information exchange.

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality is seeking scientific information submissions from the public on health information exchange.

The submissions will “inform” AHRQ’s review of the evidence for HIE, which is currently being conducted by the AHRQ Effective Health Care (EHC) Program Evidence-based Practice Centers, according to an Aug. 29 Federal Register notice.

“We are supplementing the usual manual and electronic database searches of the literature by requesting information from the public (e.g., details of studies conducted),” states the notice. “We are looking for studies that report on Health Information Exchange, including those that describe adverse events.”

The draft of the review will be posted on AHRQ's EHC Program website and available for public comment.
