The HIT Policy and HIT Standards Committees, advisory bodies to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, have scheduled their full committee meetings for April.

Both committees will receive reports from their workgroups to assist in preparing recommendations to ONC as it finalizes meaningful use and electronic health records certification rules, and develops long-term strategic plans.

The HIT Policy Committee will meet April 21 and the HIT Standards Committee will meet April 28, both in Washington. The meetings are open to the public and accessible via the Internet. More information is available at http://healthit.hhs.gov. Click on Federal Advisory Committees.
