Consumer alliance AARP is offering its members secure Web-hosted personal health records software linked to additional health management tools from Microsoft’s HealthVault unit.
The PHR enables members to manually enter or electronically input their personal medical information in a central location and to have PHRs for other family members, and to share the information with family and clinicians.
Members, for instance, can import prescription histories from HealthVault partner drug store chains CVS Caremark and Walgreens. They also will have access to HealthVault consumer wellness tools and can track progress on reaching wellness or fitness goals, and can print a wallet card with vital health information.
The AARP Health Record is available at aarp.org/healthrecord and in a Spanish version at aarp.org/mihistorialdesalud.
