The Certification Commission for Health Information Technology was the authorized certifying body. The certified 3M software covers dictation, speech recognition, transcription, and chart imaging, viewing and tracking functions.
The certified software is: ChartRelease Version 7, Electronic Signature Authentication (with ChartView) Version 5, ChartScan Version 3, ChartFact Version 14, Patient Financial Services Document Management Version 5, VoiceScript Version 10, ChartScript Version 10 and ChartScriptMD Version 10. All of the certified products meet foundational security and privacy criteria. The Electronic Signature Authentication and ChartRelease applications also support electronic copy of discharge instructions.
