The Achieving Meaningful Use Workshop on the Sunday morning before the 2010 HIMSS Conference & Exhibition in Atlanta has sold out, so organizers will repeat the workshop Sunday afternoon.

The four-hour session will cover the proposed meaningful use requirements under the HITECH Act and the steps required for achieving them. Breakout sessions will cover such areas as quality data reports and clinical warehousing, computerized practitioner order entry, health information exchange, ambulatory clinic implications, dealing with rapid change, and clinical decision support.

Speakers include William Young, vice president and CIO at Berkshire Health System in Pittsfield, Mass.; and Judy Corzine, administrative director and CIO at Stormont-Vail Healthcare in Topeka, Kan.
