Date Held: January 29, 2014

No one argues the value of health care analytics; but though most hospitals and large practices have an analytics strategy in place, research indicates that less than 20 percent are applying that strategy across the enterprise.

The reason is that most organizations are struggling to move beyond descriptive analytics—using reporting tools and applications to look at the past—and into prescriptive analytics, where mathematical methods and data can be used to anticipate what’s going to happen next.

Join us on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 2 pm Eastern to gain insights on how to harness the entire ecosystem to move toward a prescriptive analytics environment by developing end-to-end tracking of products and services and creating an infrastructure of people and technology that can create a framework of collaborations, common returns on investments and global metrics for enterprise programs.

Featured Speakers:
Peter Aiken, an informatics professor at Virginia Commonwealth University and founder of Data Blueprint
James B-Reay, a principal at Pittsburgh-based Aspen Advisors and head of the consultancy's analytics group

Unlike some other major industries, health care incorporates geospatial data only sparingly. But that could change quickly with population health a priority.
