She currently is leading the ICD-10 transition project and is a member of the Medical Coding Advisory Committee. In her past she has served as a Regional Vice President for Vanguard Health Chicago where she managed the HIM functions including clerical, coding, transcription, and tumor registry for four hospitals in the area with a team of over 100 employees. She is an active member of AHIMA, WHIMA, ILHIMA, CHIMA, a Certified Coding Specialist, and a Certified Coding Specialist-Physician Office making her an expert in this field.
