Date Held: March 26, 2014

The financial risk associated with the assignment of ICD-10 diagnosis codes to DRGs can be significant. Nearly all aspects of your operation will be affected, but one of the greatest impacts is the potential DRG shift assignments between ICD-9 and their corresponding ICD-10 claims. To tackle this challenge, leveraging analytics can help you strategize your contract negotiations for reimbursement, coder education, and physician training to survive and thrive in an ICD-10 environment.

Key Takeaways from this Webinar Include:

  • The importance of identifying DRG shifts and risk areas associated with ICD-10 by physician and service line
  • Leveraging areas of high financial risk to focus existing Clinical Documentation Improvement programs
  • Dual coding high risk charts in both ICD-9 and ICD-10
  • Advising Template Upgrades in the EHR

***There is a Q&A session at the end of the presentation.
