Through its Midas+ data analytics platform, Xerox serves more than 2,200 healthcare provider sites managing and analyzing such areas as workflow, regulatory compliance, risk-adjusting, physician benchmarking, case management, and real-time predictive analytics on changes in patient health status.

Provider customers may be better informed on what is happening within their facilities, but now Xerox wants to take them—and itself—outside the walls and into communities as providers now are taking on risk outside the walls. That’s why the company has acquired Healthy Communities Institute, which offers a cloud-based analytics and collaboration platform for 260 hospitals, 75 health departments, 60 stakeholder coalitions, chambers of commerce and employers, among other clients. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
