Xerox Increases its Health Presence

Xerox Corp. has acquired WaterWare Internet Services Inc., a vendor partner using Xerox document imaging and content management technologies to serve multiple industries, including health care.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. In health care, San Jose, Calif.-based WaterWare sells the Aquifer EHR Edition, a Web-based electronic records system to convert paper records to electronic documents. The company also sells Nile Pharmacy, a workflow management system for pharmacies to automate paper-based physician orders.
