Wireless Clock Monitor Introduced

HDM Breaking News, July 21, 2008

Primex Wireless Inc., Lake Geneva, Wis., has introduced a wireless system to synchronize clocks and timers throughout a health care enterprise’s network.

The Synchronous Network system runs on an 802.11 wireless network or Ethernet. The system, which is managed via a Web browser, uses network time protocol to synchronize clocks on the network and incorporates two-way communication with each clock. The software is available via the subscription-based application service provider computing model or as a conventional license.

The company says improved accuracy of clocks can lower liability risks for critical care and enable more efficient billing of surgical procedures. More information is available at primexwireless.com.
