Wireless Locating System Implemented

Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend, Springfield, Ore., has implemented a wireless locating system from Versus Technology Inc., Traverse City, Mich.
The hospital is using the Enterprise VISion application, which uses infrared and radio frequency identification technologies, for real-time patient, staff and asset tracking. Within the emergency department, the hospital is using the technology to time-stamp all milestones related to an ED visit, including length of stay and waiting time before treatment.

The medical centers second location, Sacred Heart Medical Center University District, Eugene, Ore., installed the technology earlier.
