Vocollect Seeks Testers of Voice Communication System

Pittsburgh-based Vocollect is seeking three hospitals to test new features for its AccuNurse voice-based communication system.

Integrated with various information systems and using speech recognition software, AccuNurse enables users to use headsets to verbally receive worklists, document task completion and communicate with co-workers.

The company is ready for pilot deployment of a new IV clinical workflow application, and to get feedback on other new, practical applications of AccuNurse that could be developed.

Piloting hospitals will receive financial incentives, an assessment of current workflow for receiving, filling and documenting IV requests, tracking of metrics for operational and clinical outcomes, interfacing to the electronic health record, and training and education.
