Health data analytics vendor Humedica Inc. has introduced an ambulatory care version of its flagship MinedShare application.

An early user of MinedShare Ambulatory is Anceta, the data warehouse unit of the American Medical Group Association, which represents multi-specialty physician group practices. Humedica and Anceta jointly developed the warehouse platform and analytics software, customized for the needs of ambulatory care. Anceta launched its Collaborative Data Warehouse for members, and Humedica launched MinedShare Ambulatory, on March 18 at the AMGA annual conference in New Orleans.

MinedShare, originally built for hospitals, is designed to pull aggregate data across an enterprise to analyze clinical and operational performance, identify and compare best practices, and benchmark performance.

MinedShare Ambulatory is a separate and distinct product from the inpatient application. it was piloted by AMGA physicians and now being marketed to them and other ambulatory providers, will enable practices to compare their treatments and outcomes for specific medical conditions against peer organizations. The Web-based application highlights trends and other important areas of focus.
