TriZetto Offers Bundled Payments Processing
Health payer administrative software vendor The TriZetto Group Inc. has introduced a new system to automate the processing of episodes of care payments in bundled payment programs. The application automates the bundling of 10 common episodes of care, according to the Greenwood Village, Colo.-based vendor, including heart bypass, knee replacement, hip replacement and several outpatient procedures. Customers can create or modify their own bundle designs.

TriZetto also has signed a licensing agreement with the Health Care Incentives Improvement Institute to offer more than 20 other pre-configured payment bundles for such episodes as heart attack, stroke, pneumonia, diabetes, asthma and other chronic conditions.
The software works with the vendor's Facets payer administrative system and its NetworX Pricer network management system. Integration with the QNXT administrative system is expected in 2012. The bundling system also can integrate with third party and homegrown systems, according to the vendor.
