App Tracks Transplant Materials

Mediware Information Systems, a vendor of blood and medication management information systems, has introduced an application to track and manage transplantable materials in hospitals, surgery centers and other facilities.

The BiologiCare software assists in tracking and documenting donors, tissue vendors and tissue recipients, according to the Lenexa, Kan.-based vendor. It also tracks expiration dates and checks for compliance with regulations.
