The Georgia Department of Community Health has awarded Armonk, N.Y.-based IBM Corp. a $5.2 million contract to develop a transparency Web site for health care consumers across the state.
The vendor will build the infrastructure for the Atlanta-based agency's new site as well as integrate health care content from Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn. The site will offer information on care costs, quality of care and availability of services at hospitals and clinics across the state. It also will incorporate disease management and wellness information.
The site, expected to go live this fall, will be designed for all health care consumers across Georgia, including Medicaid beneficiaries, state employees, and those with private or no insurance.
