Noble Hospital in Westfield, Mass., is implementing dictation, transcription and speech recognition software throughout the facility.

The 97-bed hospital generates more than 19,000 clinical reports annually and is using the software of MedQuist Inc., Mount Laurel, N.J. The hospital also has hired several hospitalists who generate a significant volume of reports; it also employs four transcriptionists.
