Thomson Reuters has introduced Pharmacy Xpert, a dashboard application with clinical surveillance capability for hospital pharmacists.

The application pulls data from disparate information systems and uses data analytics to identify patients at risk of an adverse medication event and identify lower cost but equally effective medication therapies, such as oral medication in place of intravenous, according to the Ann Arbor, Mich.-based vendor.

The dashboard includes reference content from Thomson's Micromedex unit covering antimicrobial monitoring, anticoagulation monitoring, glycemic monitoring, intravenous-to-oral conversion, narrow therapeutic indexing and patient safety.

The single-screen dashboard also offers such patient data as critical lab values, medication lists, vital signs, microbiology reports, demographics and transcribed reports.

More information is available at clinicalxpert.com/pharmacy.
