Content and data analytics vendor Thomson Reuters has acquired ProfSoft Inc., which sells data analytics software to health plans, for an undisclosed sum.

ProfSoft's applications enable the data mining and analysis of administrative data to enable health plans to assess hospital and physician performance, according to the firm.
