Hospital Deploys TV System

Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston is implementing a new television system that offers on-demand movies and music, and patient education videos.

The 757-bed hospital is using the LodgeNetRX Interactive Patient Television System of Sioux Falls, S.D.-based LodgeNet Interactive Corp. Educational videos will come from Patient Edu LLC, East Longmeadow, Mass.

The hospital hopes to improve patient satisfaction while also improving education to reduce the number of re-admissions. LodgeNet, which markets to the health care and hospitality industries, now has 31 medical facilities using its technology.
