Qwest Gets Blues Business

The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association has named Qwest Communications as a preferred vendor of voice and data services for the association's headquarters and member plans.

Details of the two-year, multimillion-dollar contract were not disclosed. Under the contract, Qwest will offer Blues plans a number of data services, including Ethernet, DSL and Frame Relay. Other services include local, long distance and international telephone service, and audio and Web conferencing.
