As part of its electronic health records package from Epic Systems Corp., northern California delivery system Sutter Health offers the vendor's personal health records software that links to the EHR.
Now, Sutter is offering free software to enable patients can access their PHR via an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch device. Using the PHR service, called My Health Online, patients can maintain their own medical records, send secure messages to physicians, check their lab and test results, view appointments, receive health reminders and get a health summary from the EHR.
