Global Healthcare Exchange, known as GHX and offering a cloud-based supply chain management platform, will acquire Vendormate, which sells vendor relationship management software. Terms of the acquisition, expected to close within a month, were not disclosed.

Vendormate’s software aids more than 2,000 providers in managing the selection, on-boarding, credentialing, business associate agreement and other legal contracts, and performance review components of the business relationship. It also serves 68,000 vendors with software to target marketing programs, organize provider-required documents and implement best-practice processes.

The goal for GHX is to give providers greater visibility into the vendors who serve them and to lower the cost of managing vendor relationships, according to the company. GHX serves 4,000 hospitals and 18,000 other provider facilities. Vendormate will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of GHX.

GHX itself was acquired in early 2014 by private equity investment firm Thoma Bravo. Other health IT holdings of Thoma Bravo include SRS Software, Mediware Information Systems and Hyland Software.
