Riverside to Subsidize I.T. for Docs

Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee, Ill., is testing integrated practice management/electronic health records software with five independent physicians, with the intent to offer it to 100 other physicians in the community.
The 336-bed hospital is testing the Practice Partner software of San Francisco-based McKesson Corp. The hospital plans to subsidize physician use of the software under relaxed provisions of the Stark Act.
