Westborough, Mass.-based eClinicalWorks Inc. is the latest vendor to announce a guarantee that its electronic health records software will meet meaningful use criteria under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

The physician software vendor has had the guarantee for some time, but previously hasn't publicized it, according to a spokesperson. Under the guarantee, the company will reimburse clients for up to 12 months of the monthly maintenance fee for periods during which the software does not fully support the criteria.

Other vendors with meaningful use guarantees include Allscripts, athenahealth, ChartLogic, e-MDs, GE Healthcare, Ingenix, Medsphere Systems, NextGen, Noteworthy Medical, Practice Fusion and SourceMedical.
