Standards development organization Health Level Seven and the American Dental Association will jointly harmonize health informatics standards to create consistent dental I.T. standards that can help coordinate care between dental and medical offices.

The agreement includes creation of a standards-based dental Continuity of Care Document. It also includes harmonizing of various standards-ensuring they work well together-to support compatibility between dental and medical information systems.
