Stakeholders to Ponder EHR Usability

The National Institute of Standards and Technology, Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology will host a one-day workshop on ways to improve the usability of electronic health records systems.

The event, "Usability in Health I.T.: Strategy, Research and Implementation," is scheduled for July 13 in Gaithersburg, Md. The goal is to bring together industry stakeholders to prioritize, align and coordinate strategies to improve EHR usability.

The registration fee is $116 and a block of rooms are reserved at a nearby hotel for $119. More information is available at nist.gov/itl/usability_hit.cfm.
