Module Supports Defensible Pricing

Revenue cycle management software vendor MedAssets Inc. has introduced an application to aid in the pricing of hospital services.

The new PriceMaster module of the Atlanta-based company’s chargemaster management software enables the comparing of a hospital’s prices to market benchmarks, fee schedules, cost and relative value unit data, and Medicare benchmarks.

The software also supports modeling of different pricing scenarios and forecasts the net and gross impact of pricing changes. The result is creation of defensible pricing while being properly reimbursed for services, according to the vendor. More information is available at medassets.com.
