EHR Vendor Signs Retail Clinics

Clinic Management Corp. of America will use practice management/electronic health records software from MedcomSoft Inc., Toronto, in its 41 new retail clinics at pharmacies in Puerto Rico.

The clinics will be in stores operated by Farmacias El Amal, the largest locally owned drugstore chain on the island. The chain is selling to Walgreens Company its 20 other pharmacies that are not suitable for hosting a clinic.

The contract with MedcomSoft covers 100 licenses and is valued at more than $750,000 excluding implementation, training and support services. More information is available at medcomsoft.com.
