Docs to Get Remote Labor Data

Ten hospitals of Houston-based Memorial Hermann Healthcare System will implement software to give obstetricians real-time, remote access to waveform data from hospital labor and delivery units.

The delivery system will use the AirStrip OB software of San Antonio-based AirStrip Technologies. The waveforms will be available on PDAs and smart phones using the Mobile Windows operating system.

The vendor, which serves about 40 hospitals, expects later this year to support iPhone and Blackberry devices. More information is available at airstriptech.com.
