App Scans Film Mammography Images

PACSGEAR Inc. has introduced a service to scan film-based mammography images to enable side-by-side comparison with digital images.

The PacsSCAN Film for Mammography application uses DICOM standards to enable the correct sequencing of scanned images on digital mammography workstations, according to the Pleasanton, Calif.-based vendor. It also can display scanned images at the same resolution as digital counterparts.

The company will demonstrate the application during the Radiological Society of North America 94th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting, Nov. 30-Dec. 5 in Chicago. More information is available at pacsgear.com.
