The Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company has bought Portland, Ore.-based American Billing Services, which serves practices and hospitals, for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition is the third billing firm buy for PracticeMax in the past two years as it seeks new clients not just for billing but also for EHRs.
The company resells the clinical applications of eClinicalWorks, NextGen and Sequel.
