Personal health records vendor NoMoreClipboard.com has introduced a physician Web portal that enables practices to offer the PHR and online administrative functions to their patients.

The NMC-MD portal can be private-labeled for a practice, according to the Fort Wayne, Ind.-based vendor. The portal can support compliance with proposed meaningful use requirements such as providing patients with timely electronic copies of health information and clinical summaries after each encounter.

The portal also supports secure messaging relating to appointments, medication refills, and billing and clinical questions. More information is available at nomoreclipboard.com.

Looking to build better care coordination, health systems are buying physician groups in droves. Making the deal work, however, requires careful management on the I.T. front.
