Burlington, Mass.-based HealthEdge’s platform, called HealthRules, processes claims and benefits transactions, and hosts Web portals and business intelligence modules. Powell, Ohio-based Click4Care offers customer relationship, disease, care and utilization management applications, along with a member medical record and data analytics.
Now, HealthEdge will integrate the ancillary products into HealthRules, enabling a single, enterprise class platform for insurers. The expanded platform will support accountable care organizations, value-based initiatives, health insurance exchanges and pay-for-performance programs, according to the companies.
